Here’s a round up of upcoming workshops, clinics, and resources for tenants. They’re in order of date, so please scroll all the way to the end!
NAVIGATING RENTAL POLICY WORKSHOP with Pasadena Tenants Union
Sunday July 13 beginning at 2:00pm at the Flintridge Center in Pasadena
📍 Flintridge Center, 236 W Mountain Street, Room 117, Pasadena, CA 91103
Do you struggle to navigate rental policies to find the exact information you need? Join our comrades at Pasadena Tenants Union for a talk on navigating rental policy. From 2:00-3:00pm, the focus will be on Los Angeles County policy (that’s for those of us in Altadena), there will be a break from 3-3:30pm, and then from 3:30-4:30pm the focus will be on rental policy in the city of Pasadena.

WILDFIRE TENANT SUPPORT CLINICS with Inner City Law Center
Wednesday July 16 from 10:30am-12:30pm in Pasadena

Inner City Law Center is offering ongoing free legal support clinics on the first and third Wednesdays of the month (see the flyer below for August dates). You can get free legal advice for housing related issues like evictions and lockouts, fire damage repairs and rent reductions, and lease terminations and security deposit refunds.
You can also get assistance with replacing vital documents like IDs, drivers licenses, social security cards, and birth/marriage/death certificates. To schedule an appointment at one of the upcoming clinic dates, email [email protected] or call (213) 891-2880.

DISASTER RELIEF WORKSHOP FOR TENANTS with Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles
Thursday July 17 beginning at 3:30pm on Zoom
This workshop will help you understand your rights as a tenant after the January 2025 wildfire disaster in Los Angeles County and where to turn for help if you believe your rights as a tenant are being violated. The workshop is only available in English at the moment. In this presentation, we will cover:
Your rights as a tenant if your home was completely destroyed
Your rights as a tenant if your home was damaged but repairable
Post-disaster legal protections
Este taller le ayudara comprender sus derechos como inquilino después del desastre del incendio forestal de enero de 2025 en el condado de Los Ángeles y dónde acudir para obtener ayuda si cree que se están violando sus derechos como inquilino. Por el momento el taller solo está disponible en inglés. En esta presentación cubriremos lo siguiente:
Sus derechos como inquilino si su hogar quedo completamente destruido
Sus derechos como inquilino si su hogar sufrio daños, pero son reparables
