ATU Updates

Altadena Tenants Rights and Resources presentation by Neighborhood Legal Services TODAY from 4-5 pm at the Altadena Library

Hi Neighbors!

We wanted to share two quick announcements for you this week. First, our friends at Neighborhood Legal Services of LA will be hosting an Altadena Tenant Rights and Resources session TODAY (9/15) at the Altadena Library from 4-5pm. They will cover repairs and remediation, questions about paying rent if you could not live in your unit, your rights if you’ve received a notice from your landlord, and they will also have a Q&A session if you have any questions. ATU will also be present if you would like to connect with us in person.

Second, ATU will be hosting our next general meeting on Thursday, October 2nd at 7pm (online). As we discussed during our August in-person meeting, we’ll be alternating between in-person and virtual meetings in order to accommodate neighbors who are still displaced or otherwise can’t join in person. The October 2nd meeting will have simultaneous interpretation in Spanish again. Please register here — we will send a Zoom link to registrants later this month.

ATU Resource Guide

Have questions or need contact info for county agencies or legal assistance? We’ve collected everything we’ve learned into the Altadena Tenants Union Resource Guide, a living document that we’re updating on a regular basis. This tenants guide will be updated this week, so keep an eye out for changes coming soon!
