Abandoned Altadena Families Need to Be Heard!
Dear Neighbors,
Our families – especially families of color – are still suffering months after the Eaton Fire, facing displacement and toxic conditions while LA County spends million rehabilitating a park in an area we know is still toxic. Parks are important for our community but Altadena families have been abandoned without meaningful support.
Join us this Saturday, May 17th at 10:00 AM at Loma Alta Park. We’ll be demonstrating at the park ribbon cutting and inviting Supervisor Barger to hear the real priorities of struggling families, including: direct assistance, affordable housing, remediation, and functional protections for tenants and homeowners.
Let's show them Altadena still stands together and deserves to be heard!
MEETING POINT: On the sidewalk on the south side of Loma Alta Dr and Sunset Ridge Rd (Loma Alta Park, 3330 N Lincoln Ave) - just between the equestrian ring and the tennis courts.
MEETING TIME: Be there by no later than 10:00 AM (we will probably be concluded by noon at the latest). Organizers will be on site earlier to start assembling folks.
SAFETY NOTE: Please come wearing masks/respirators if you have them. We will have extra PPE for those who need it.
